This mine cut is long abandoned and flooded up to 16th step. Yet the digging went on for 2000 years, and the pit is really deep. Empire state building almost fit it. As a scale you can use a steam locomotive left to rust in the last century on the right side of this photo. Minas de Rio Tinto.
